Bright Green Hydrogen are looking for an Education Officer to join the Team. Our Education Programmes and Workshops last half or a full day and we work with young people from Nursery Up to and including College Students and Teachers.

The Education Officer is responsible for managing the Bright Green Hydrogen Education and Community Engagement Programmes and coordinating with the Education Liaison and Technical Managers to deliver the following activities:

 

  • Research, write, resource, organise and deliver Workshops, Events and Demonstration activities to key stakeholder groups in line with the National Curriculum
  • Liaise with school teachers to arrange logistics of workshop/programme
  • Deliver each workshop/programme enthusiastically and represent Bright Green Hydrogen in a positive and professional manner
  • Involve, inform and inspire the young people, providing a positive role model
  • Collate, process and report pupil and teacher evaluation after each activity and collate appropriate statistics
  • Source Funding/Contracts for the Education programme
  • Deliver Education Contracts to exact customer specifications
  • Write and update marketing materials for all Bright Green Hydrogen activities
  • Market and promote all Bright Green Hydrogen activities
  • Manage all activities associated with knowledge and technology transfer relating to the work of the
  • Demonstration Centre
  • Update and review all Bright Green Hydrogen Risk Assessments, Policies and procedures on a regular basis
  • Ensure regular testing of the Fire Alarm systems in both the Hydrogen Office and Energy Centre
  • Disseminate non-technical information relating to the Demonstration Centre and coordinate the technical dissemination of information with the Technical Manager
  • Administer the bookings and activities of the Demonstration Centre, including setting up meeting rooms, organising external catering, invoicing and feedback
  • Develop and maintain the Bright Green Hydrogen website, and web-based dissemination
  • Maintain and develop Bright Green Hydrogen social media
  • Ensure correct use of the petty cash/invoicing system and report to the Accounts Department on a monthly basis
  • Cover duties at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre where required
  • Any other duties as required

 

Essential:

  • Recent PVG certificate or willingness to gain one
  • Driving licence and access to a car
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Calm, positive and confident manner
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and a passion for looking after the environment
  • Business Knowledge

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working with schools
