VIBES Awards Finalists 2017

Bright Green Hydrogen are delighted to be chosen as finalists for this year’s VIBES Awards within the Transport category. We were successful in rounds one and two of the selection process and are now awaiting a final site tour for judging. Alongside Fife Council and Toshiba, BGH are leading partners of The Levenmouth Community Energy Project, which combines energy storage with sustainable transport. On site we are able to produce, store and dispense hydrogen that has been obtained using renewable energy. From this project, the partners have procured a mixed fleet of 17 hybrid hydrogen vehicles, 10 of which are zero-carbon. These zero emission vehicles are converted hydrogen-electric Renault Kangoo vans which form BGH’s hydrogen van leasing scheme. We offer these vans to local businesses, charities and social enterprises in the area and they are leased based on costings comparable to diesel rental price. This allows access to advanced decarbonised transport without paying premium prices. Customers can utilise our leasing scheme to improve their green business credentials by engaging in sustainable travel and thus reducing their environmental impact.
